How does the cost of renting compare in Seattle vs the National average?
Apartmentlist.com just updated their recent report on the 10 Cities with The Highest Rent. We were not surprised to see that Seattle made the list.
As you’ll see above Seattle was ranked 8th at an average of $2,200 per month. Seattle also made the list of fastest growing rents – 7.2% over the last year.
There have been some signals that the rental market could be headed towards moderation. It will be interesting to see how the next 12 months play out – while the average rent in Seattle is $2,200, according to Zillow the average cost per home is $525,900. Zillow predicts a 6.6% increase in home prices for 2016.
