5 Units In Lake Union Condo Building, Headed To Foreclosure Auction

I noticed something strange this morning when I was going through the Seattle condo foreclosure inventory. There are 5 units at Tavona that are headed to this Friday's auction!  There is a possibility that some of them will not be on the list come Friday morning, but it is interesting to say the least.  I've provided a list of the unit numbers, what they sold for originally and … [Read more...]

Downtown Seattle Rental Market Update

Downtown Seattle Rental Inventory

I've been getting emails from readers about the lack of condo inventory for rent. So I thought it might be interesting to see whats actually on the market. I don't always track the inventory on Craigslist, but I do watch the available properties on the MLS.  I was surprised to see that there are only 28 total units in downtown Seattle for rent. I know most of you … [Read more...]

Check Out This Seattle Home On Alki. Trust Me.

This house is SICK.  Before you see the pictures (below) and drool all over your keyboard like I did, let me tell you how I found it. I was doing my typical afternoon review of local and national housing stories and ran into a really cool piece on CNBC. It features some of the worlds "skinny" homes and designs. As a part of that piece, it featured this place on Alki. Um, … [Read more...]

Just One Home Left At Enso in South Lake Union

The sales team at Enso is down to just one unit before they reach their sellout.  It is a 1 bedroom, 1 bath on the 7th floor. It features views of Lake Union, a dual-sided fireplace and its own private balcony. This is just another reminder of the limited "new construction" inventory both in South Lake Union and Downtown Seattle as a whole.  Owners in Enso, Veer, 2200 and … [Read more...]

Kundig Design, Modern Build, Big Views.

Sometimes I can't resist.  It is easy to get away from posting on in-city pads when designs like this hit the market.  It is a Tom Kundig design with over 132 feet of floor to ceiling glass.  Such a cool build and great views.  I love the use of concrete, steel and glass.  I'm such a sucker for modern design.  What do you think? It's located in Kirkland/Jaunita and the … [Read more...]

Rootftop Deck - Regata

Loss of A Leader, My Thoughts On Steve Jobs

I am very saddened by the loss of Steve Jobs, former CEO and current Chairmen of Apple.  It was rumored early this week that his health took a turn for the worse.  The rumors proved to be true as it was announced publicly yesterday that he passed away "peacefully" at the age of 56.  Steve Jobs was an inspiration to me.  He was thoughtful a leader, an innovative human being and … [Read more...]

5th Floor Condo At The Concord Headed To Auction, Again.

Its back!  Remember this unit from 2 weeks ago? I wrote about it back on the 26th of September as well. This 5th floor condo at the Concord in Belltown was postponed last week.  Now, its back on the auction list to be sold this Friday. It was last purchased for $500,000 in 2007. It was listed in March of this year for $439,950. The minimum bid at the foreclosure auction is … [Read more...]
