One commitment we have made years ago to our readers and our followers is to report the facts. Even when the truth hurts. If you recently bought at Insignia Towers and you were not aware of a twin tower, 41 story development that will soon be your neighbor, then here is your chance. We’ve reported on this story in the past, but there is a new Design Recommendation Meeting on the 19th and we want to keep you informed.
Even if you are not a resident of Insignia, this is a developing story that is worth keeping your eye on. We don’t necessarily see this development as a negative. Of course it will change the views in some of the Insignia Towers units, but new projects also bring value as well. More residents, restaurants, coffee shops, etc…. Our goal is make you aware of the facts, not just the impact is has on the condo community/Denny Triangle.
Here is the site.
So here is the background. There are two projects both projected to be built as 41 story residential towers on the same block. Here is a look at what that block might look like.
As you can see in the photo, the towers set for design guidance are on the west half of the block. On the east half, is a ghost image of the Clise Properties proposed towers.
Here is an aerial rendering showing Insignia (Grey), 2300 6th Ave (proposed-yellow) and the Clise Properties Towers (proposed-light blue).
So if the proposed site in yellow (2300 6th Ave) does get built, here are some key numbers to pay attention too:
- Two (2) 41 story towers taking up half of the block between Bell/Battery 6th/7th
- 1016 apartments
- 25,000sf retail
- 627 parking stalls
