Check out this Seattle condo on Capitol Hill that sold for 26% above the asking price! The unit started at $199,500 and was bid up to $252,500. The building is called Marquis and it has 9 units on three floors. Its a cute building with mature landscaping and great access to the new light rail station on Broadway. We expect to more articles like the one from the Seattle Times over the weekend, highlighting the premium paid for units/homes near light rail. It just makes sense. As traffic continues to get worse, we’ll see more and more of this each year. Back in April, we made it point to show you guys the results from one of our sales at the Brix Condos on Broadway. Our client received close to 12% above her asking price. This was a significant sale as the final number arrived a little over $500,000 for the unit. Just another example of the demand in our market for good quality and affordable units.
