Project: Continental Place

Unit #705 at Continental Place caught my eye this weekend.  Usually a unit on the 7th floor would not stand out in a 1981 build.  With that being said, this unit is anything but ordinary.  In my opinion the owners did an incredible job using the basic elements that the unit provided to bring out the best of what was possible in its design.  As you will notice in the pictures, they utilized the open and airy space.  It has multiple elements that create a loft feel in 700sf floor-plan. For example, the floors are polished concrete. The owners simply pulled up the carpets or the existing hardwoods and dressed up the concrete slab.  In addition they exposed the concrete ceilings which helped to harmonize the space top to bottom.  In contrast to the steel grays and dark swirls in the concrete, they used white surfaces, exotic stones and designer finishes.  The bath really stood out to me.  I loved the cleans lines and exposed sink that is dramatic, but fit the space perfectly.  It is up to you to determine the if the price is right.  I just felt this was another unit that deserved your attention.
