For those of you loft lovers, check out this new listing at Veer. It just hit the market today.  It is a top floor, 2 story floor plan with pretty incredible views of the Space Needle. Unit #615 was sold in the spring of 2010.  The only other unit on the market at Veer Lofts is a short sale currently listed at $269,000.  For those of you looking to rent, you can lease a 4th floor unit for $1,500.  If you ask me, I could get use to living at a location like this. Its walking distance to Portage Bay Cafe, the Cactus, Whole Foods and the South Lake Union Park.

At top floor unit at Veer Lofts just hit the market tonight.  It’s priced at $419,950 (see the listing here).  It has 18 foot ceilings and west facing views.  Veer has been a popular building in South Lake Union.  Since the original sellout in 2010 there have only been a handful of re-sales in the 99 unit project.  I love the location and find this particular unit to be pretty interesting as it sits on the top floor with pretty good west facing views.  It also has a private patio and electronic blinds.  If your in the market, you might want to take a look.

Discovering South Lake Union

You might be wondering what the deal is with this picture.

I’m sitting at the Starbucks at 2200 Westlake in South Lake Union.  Over the last 2 years it has become one of my favorite locations to work when I’m in-between appointments.  It is not the space as much as it is the location.  I love SLU.  It grows on me daily because I feel that I have bought into the vision:

  • Re-designing the waterfront
  • New construction
  • Active business (Amazon, bio-tech, health-care)
  • New restaurants
  • Master plan development
  • Industrial re-design and environmental conscious construction

Overall, it has become the fastest growing borough of Seattle.  Successful design, thoughtful development and a fantastic location.

Exciting New Additions To UrbanCondoSpaces.com

This is a fun post for me to write.  I have been so excited to share with you some recent updates to the blog.  As you will see in the picture below, we have added a category of links titled “UCS Exclusive Sites”.  I think this is an incredible addition to the site.

For the last 2 months, I have been working tirelessly on building individual sites for the major condominiums projects in Bellevue and Seattle.  The objective was to bring each project to you!  This hyper-local approach, delivers “building” specific information.  Each website is loaded with great info.  You can search units for sale, units that have sold and within a few weeks you’ll be able to search for rentals as well!  In addition, you will find the following:

  • Neighborhood information
  • Amenities
  • Walkscore and much much more.

Each site is fairly interactive as well.  For example, if you want UCS to send you listings in your favorite building, just fill out the email notifications form and you will receive new listings immediately when they hit the market.  As an owner you will also be able to keep tabs on the units that are for sale in your building.  We will be adding new features to the site as time goes on. South Lake Union & Veer Lofts

Veer Lofts is down to just 9 units.  For those of you unfamiliar project:

Located in South Lake Union, Veer Lofts built in 2008 consists of 99 units in 3 different unit layouts.  Developed by Vulcan Real Estate, Veer offers units of 624 to 1067 square feet.  This 6 story building designed by Johnson Architects and constructed by Walsh Construction is LEED Certified with drought tolerant landscaping, water conserving fixtures, recycled building materials and natural day lighting with glass walls.

Other considerations:  Cemente/Concrete/Metal/Vinyl Siding, Pets are subject to restrictions, neighboring projects include Enso and 2200 Westlake

With all the success in South Lake Union, I would expect that this emerging neighborhood will continue to gain popularity.  As most of you know the 5,000 Amazon employees are beginning to move into their office building just blocks from Enso, Veer and 2200 Westlake.  In addition, the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation is nearing completion.  Adding 5,000-7,000 jobs to the area.
