New Seattle Condo Project Will Incorporate A 1892 Built Gothic Church
With Seattle condo demand off the charts, Caydon Property Group of Melbourne Australia appears to be moving forward with a 28 story 204 unit condo project in the First Hill neighborhood of Seattle. Reported by our friends at the PSBJ yesterday, the timetable is still a moving target.
The project will incorporate an English Gothic Revival church that was built in 1892 (established in 1865). I think the preliminary design plans look impressive. It is pretty amazing to see how the architect (Solomon Cordwell Buenz) is planning a glass atrium/connecting from the condo to the historic church.
Any condo fans out there like us, will appreciate the creativity and authenticity of the project. Not to mention just having a new condo project to get excited about. Seattle is in need of more units to help solve an inventory issue and a very concerning affordability crisis as well.

The new condo project will be located at 8th and Cherry. First Hill is located just Northeast of Seattle’s retail/financial district. The neighborhood mix is comprised of condos, apartments, retirement living and healthcare. The upside to the neighborhood is the access into Downtown. The downside is the noise from ambulance and constant hospital activity. Want to learn more? All you have to do is ask – we are Seattle’s unrivaled condo expert.
