Plenty of style with just 897 square feet

When I read about this house designed by PB Elemental I thought it would be fun to share.  Believe it or not, its only 897sf with a 100sf deck.  I realize that this style isn’t for everyone, but when you see the pictures you’ll be surprised at what if offers.  Here is a project description from the elemental architecture blog:

Despite it’s size this home is an excellent example of using volume to create a sense of space. The home is broken into three spaces that all connect visually from the main living level, an open riser stair acts as the spine of the building drawing in a diffused light. With a natural orientation to the North it was essential to maximize the glazing to allow the home to be lit throughout the day. This was achieved by a vertical lift double height glass garage door (also providing passive cooling), skylights and panorama windows (that let in light while maintaining privacy). Radiant heated concrete floors efficiently heat the double height space while acting as a thermal mass collecting heat from the sun. The exterior is broken into three volumes, the stair spine, the living volume and the bathroom/closet box. Cladding includes white aluminum composite panels, cement panels and cedar rainscreen.
