If any of you noticed this article over the last few days, I think you were probably as impressed as I was. Eric Pryne of the Seattle Times, put a together a GREAT article/map with Mark Nowlin to illustrate the massive change since 2000 in South Lake Union.
It shows past development, current occupancies and proposed projects as well. As many of you know, I have been a very big proponent of SLU. I think it has a phenomenal master plan that will compliment an already satisfying mix of living, working and playing. I think its obvious to suggest that this neighborhood will continue to see positive growth. If you look ahead 10 years, it will have been one of the most lucrative areas to invest.
In terms of today, it doesn’t hurt to have all the wonderful new projects to live in, restaurants to dine and neigborhood amenities to enjoy (Whole Foods, South Lake Union Waterfront Park and Westlake Ave).
