Only 14 Condos For Rent In Downtown Seattle, 50% Decline From October 2011

Downtown Seattle Condos For Rent

Looking for a reason to rent your downtown Seattle condo right now? How about this…..There are only 14 condos listed for rent in all of downtown – just 14 units. I’ve provided a breakdown below that shows the asking rent. Obviously this doesn’t count apartment buildings and other units that are not listed on the MLS, but from my perspective, this is a significant reduction in whats available. Just last October when I pulled the same market report there were 28 units available for lease. That is a 50% decrease in inventory in just 6 months.

There are a lot of Seattle residents that prefer renting condos over the typical apartment building. With only 14 units available, anything that hits the market will likely go fast. With such limited supply, look for landlords to raise their rental rates until more units become available.

Want a penthouse loft? Our friend Ashely just put this unit on the market today. I realize that a rental rate of $3,695 doesn’t fit everyone’s budget, but once you see it you’ll realize that it just may be worth it. It is located in Pioneer Square, between Main street and Washington. It has 2 bedrooms, 3 baths and 3,000 sq ft of living space. It has an Island kitchen with gas range, soaring ceilings, exposed brick walls and hardwood floors. The bathrooms are incredible and both bedrooms have custom built-ins. So again, if you are in the market, you are the first to see it. If your not, then you can just enjoy the pictures. There is a new rental that just hit the market at Bellora; Unit #1001. It is a one-bedroom with a big view and a spacious layout. This particular floor plan has a large den as well. Owners use the space as an office, a media room or they often install a wall-bed to act as a second bedroom. At 1,050sf, you’d be surprised at how big the unit feels. As I have mentioned in the past, Bellora is a rock-solid building. It continues to be a jewel in a Belltown market that has had its fair share of negatives over the last 2-3 years. One of my closest friends lives in the building and loves it. It has a large gym, a concierge, and a sun terrace. Go see for yourself. Ryan Raffetto has it listed at $2,450 per month.
