Vulcan Moving Forward With 44 Story Tower, 5th and Lenora
Vulcan has big plans for a site at 5th and Lenora, just 2 blocks from the Amazon Spheres. In an article by the DJC this week, we learned that Vulcan acquired the final piece needed to proceed with the 44 story project. The nearly 20,000sf site, was purchased for a total of $27.4 million.
We think its a great site for a tower and regardless of wether it will be apartments or condos (we believe it will be apartments), the residents will enjoy a short walk to Pacific Place, South Lake Union, Pike Place and Belltown.
The residential tower, will offer 458 units and 300 parking stalls. The retail component of the project will total 3,700sf. From peering over the design proposal, the preferred design would require an up-zone but shows a very cool layered design through the first 8-10 floors.
This project would be another feather in the cap of a very popular downtown neighborhood. The Denny Triangle is unquestionably the hottest hood in the Downtown core. Back in early spring it was reported that Denny Triangle had proposed projects that would add up to more than 10,000 new homes.
Go Seattle, go!
