Washington Square Condo Update-March

Just followed up with Royce Koh at Washington Square in Bellevue.  I try to check in with WS  as often as possible as they are a little further along than some of their neighboring competitors.  Back in January, they had just eclipsed 200 occupancies.  At this point as you will see below, they have had 13 closings since then:

According to Royce: (Washington Square Blog:  www.washingtonsquarebuzz.com)

To date, we have closed 213 units
We are weeks away from paying off our construction debt
Within a couple months, the HOA will be fully transferred to the homeowners.
Our traffic has been steadily increasing in 2010. This has resulted in more interest and more sales compared to last year.

For those of you unfamiliar with the project, Washington Square is a 377 unit development consisting of 2 towers and a number of townhomes. Developed by Wasatch Development in Salt Lake City, Washington Square was Bellevue’s first completed highrise since One Lincoln Square.

The concierge / doorman? (would indicate some opening or assistance with the door, which has never existed) is on duty only until 11PM, a fact that I would have appreciated before signing. NOT 24 HOUR.

@Laurie, I can understand why you are disappointed. The benefit of living in a condo community is the right that you have to voice your opinion. I would consider taking it up with the Board. The Washington Square Condo Blog (http://washingtonsquarebuzz.com/fast-facts/) still shows the amenity provided as 24 hours.

I will adjust this post accordingly once I hear back from them. In the meantime if you learn anything new, please let us know. Other than that, I hope you are enjoying your new home. Do you own or rent your unit?

This can be found on their main page—–>Amenities—–>Services:

Need concert tickets, dinner reservations, or a ride home from the airport?
