71% of Capitol Hill Condos Went For Full Asking Price Or More In January
Multiple offers are drove up the price of Capitol Hill condos in January. Although the gains were not nearly as significant as Downtown condos the average condo on Capitol Hill sold for 4.5% higher than the asking price – compared to 1.8% higher than the asking price in January of 2016.
The median price rose just over 1%, but the average price per square foot rose 11% over the same time last year. There were 14 sales in Capitol Hill last month – 10 of those sales sold for at least the asking price with 9 of the Capitol Hill condos receiving multiple offers. 4 condos sold for over 10% higher than the asking price including a condo on 17th Ave E that went for 16% above the ask (listed at $260,000 and selling for $302,100).
