Bellevue Needs More Condo Inventory
Bellevue needs more condos. This isn’t just an opinion, its the facts. Let me show you the numbers.
First of all, there are only 26 condos for sale in Downtown Bellevue (resale only). 65% of the condo inventory is concentrated in 3 different buildings (see below). Bellevue Towers, Mira Flats and One88.
To put that inventory in perspective, there are nearly 170 units in Downtown Seattle. Bottom line is, Bellevue is growing and it is growing fast. Light rail will open in 2023 and Amazon has already announced their plans to have over 25,000 employees in Bellevue. Remember what happens when a massive company expands their footprint in a city core – it creates even more jobs. Coffee shops, restaurants, new startups and more.
Does it make sense to invest in Bellevue? Of course! I’m working on a new video that will explain in better detail. Bottom-line is that Bellevue is a world-class city. Its only 15 minutes from Downtown Seattle and it has very little crime. It also doesn’t share the same growing pains that Seattle is experiencing. No homeless, little crime, better public policy, better community support.
