The number of condo sales in Downtown Seattle were up 4% over April. Some might have expected a bigger increase, but these figures were not a surprise to us as we saw much more inventory hit the market. Seasonly, May is the best time of the year to sell – which is why you see owners taking advantage and getting their units on the market before summer. There were 51 sales ranging from $252,000 to $2,040,000. Here is a complete list of all May sales.
The price per unit was down to $659,346 from $772,410 but the pricer per square foot increased 2% to an average of $674.59psf.
Interesting storylines from the Month of May:
This unit at 1521 Second Ave sold for $2,040,000. Just 2.5 years ago it sold for $1,680,000. That is a 21.5% gross return.
We love this view. The unit is located at Enso Condominiums in Denny Triangle/South Lake Union. It sold for $600,000.
This unit at the Vine, went for 13% above the asking price. Starting at $599,950 and hitting a final sales price of $680,000.
