Project: 81 Vine
You may have noticed this unit before. Unit #300 at 81 Vine was once on the market for as much as $795,000 in November of 2009. It is back on the market with a new price of $600,000. What I like about 81 Vine is that it was a true industrial conversion. Back in 1999, 4.6 million in construction costs went into the re-development of the building. It was a 1914 built brick factory. The complete renovation added a pretty remarkable offering as loft space in the heart of Belltown.
During the recent building cycle in major cities like Seattle, quite a few modern lofts were built to replicate the traditional “loft” space. This unit is a bit of a throw-back to the original “industrial style lofts”. It has an open floor-plan, 13 foot wood beamed vaulted ceilings and big arched windows. Nice sized kitchen with concrete counters, exposed brick interiors and HVAC hanging from the ceiling. Overall it is an interesting offering for those looking for extraordinary instead of the norm.
