Building: Post Mews
Neighborhood: Pioneer Square
BUILDING DESCRIPTION
Originally built as the Elgin Hotel in 1913, Post Mews was later recognized, and still referenced to today as Traveler’s Hotel. Living up to the name, it’s Post Ave location is just steps from waterfront, ferries, sports arenas, charming cafés and art galleries. The low-rise brick building was restored and renovated by Jones & Jones Architects into urban work/live lofts in the 1970’s. Home to only 7 loft-style homes, some are awarded their own private garden terrace. Courtyard entrances, heavy timber beams, exposed brick walls, and high ceilings are hallmarks of Post Mews. Rarely available, you would be lucky to ever own one of these classic Pioneer Square lofts.
