How Does Seattle’s Condo Inventory Compare To Other US Cities
It is time to take a deep dive into condo inventory and see how Seattle compares to other US Cities. We pulled some numbers this morning on other major Downtown markets to see how Seattle’s condo inventory under $500,000 compared. The results are pretty remarkable.
The idea came from some frustration over the weekend. We have a great client who works for Amazon. He has been frustrated with the lack of inventory under $500,000. I understand and can sympathize with his irritation. I think there are a lot of buyers in the market right now that would absolutely purchase a unit if there were a few more condos to choose from. Sadly, this is simply part of our market right now and as brokers/buyers, we have to get creative on how we find the right unit.
I wanted to get a better understanding of how Seattle compared to a few other major US cities. As a courtesy to my client, I pulled the data for him, but I’m going to share it with all of you. I hope you enjoy.
As you can see, we have less inventory than every major market I pulled (data from Zillow). It should be noted that our team doesn’t just sit around and wait for condos to become available. We send letters, postcards, run-ads and find other creative measures to find our clients a home. If you are frustrated by the market and want to get our opinion on how you can navigate it, get in touch. We would love to help.
We also have lots of free resources that can help you in your search. Listing alerts, searching by neighborhood, searching by price point, searching by building. If you are not finding what you are looking for, email us at firstname.lastname@example.org
