Yaletown in Vancouver BC is truly one of a kind.
Thankfully for me, I had the opportunity to travel with a few friends up to BC a couple of weeks ago. Our destination was the Vancouver half-marathon. A great friend of mine offered to let us stay at his place. He has made purchases in Yaletown for years. They own 4-5 units that rent and currently cash flow quite well. We stayed at his place in King’s Landing (see map here). The views were simply stunning:
Whenever I stay, I’m always blown away by the condominium skyline. My understanding is that Vancouver Urban Planning has focused on method called densification. Essentially, creating an environment that would allow ones lifestyle to benefit from urban density. Walking to work, to parks, to your gym, to get you haircut etc… It creates a pedestrian friendly society. Much like New York, Hong Kong, etc. In fact, their method has been modeled in many different areas of the world including Dubai. I find it fascinating.
I took plenty of pictures to show the diversity both spaciously and aesthetically when it comes to a Yaletown condo development. Enjoy.
Oh and the Half-marathon went well. I finished; and was sore for 3 days!
